Here's To a Fresh Start!

Hello, Internet. I'm Matt Shea...and I have thoughts. As an aspiring writer and actor, it helps me clear my head to write these thoughts down. One day someone told me to share them with others...aren't you the lucky ones!

For some of you out there, you might remember me from The Towerlight, a college paper published at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. At one point I wrote a column...'That's What Shea Said'. Then it was turned into a blog...and then it was terminated, mostly by me.
I made a final move in a delicate chess match I'd been playing for several months with the paper. I knew if I made the move, I would win...but the blog would be no more.

At least...on that website.

If you know the details of that story, enjoy them! Have a good laugh. Call who you wish the names you wish, even if its me. I really don't care about that anymore, I never did. I went down with a purpose, and for that purpose. That paper and I had some professionalism disagreements, and I could no longer support it, or worse, be supported by it.

So enough, be gone vile issue! The New Year is just around the corner, so in the spirit of new beginnings and fresh starts...I shall begin again.

I write about entertainment, it's what I do. Movies, TV, books, music...I tend to do it all. Well, not so much the music, because, as Bob Seger once said: "Today's music aint got the the same soul, I like that ol' time Rock N' Roll!"

In fact, an upcoming post will probably be my top ten films of the year (once I finish of some contenders in theaters over the next week or so). Top Ten shows perhaps? WHO KNOWS?! WHO CARES?! I guess that's something I'm going to find out, isn't it? After all, I'm not the only guy out in cyberspace 'blogging about nothing', but I doubt that I'm the dimmest. I'm certainly not the least capable...well...I guess we'll find out, won't we?

Right now my little blog looks quite bland, doesn't it? Don't worry...I'll work on that too.
Perhaps tomorrow, I'll have a real post...not this introductory bull shit. But then again, who knows where my mind will go tomorrow.

So, anonymous reader, I think if you give me a chance, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
